2.4 - Ink Remover – Xandex
DieMark Ink Remover 8000 is designed specifically for the semiconductor industry. It contains very low levels of organic and inorganic contaminants.
It is non-carcinogenic, non-teratogenic and all ingredients are TSCA listed. DieMark® Ink Remover 8000 thoroughly cleans a variety of inks (all inks sold by Xandex) including oven baked dots, via simple bench top methods. DieMark® Ink Remover 8000 may also be used in ultrasonic or circulating baths. This product accommodates other unique wafer cleaning methods such as step temperature and pressure cycling.
Glycol ethers are used to dissolve dyes and resins for the manufacture and removal of inks. Some are extremely toxic at low quantities, and rated as carcinogenic and teratogenic (reproductive hazard). Glycol ether substitutes are solvents with similar characteristics, which provide the same effect without the toxic, carcinogenic or teratogenic characteristics of glycol ethers. Because of these facts, Xandex has developed this remover to be glycol ether free.

2.4 - Ink Systems – Xandex
Electric Inking systems deposit ink dots through actuation of a solenoid,
which in turn moves the DieMark cartridge nylon filament up and down.
Filament movement draws ink down the filament from the cartridge
reservoir to the wafer surface. DieMark cartridge needle size,
filament diameter, filament length, and ink viscosity are factory tuned.
A standard ink reservoir is combined with a variety of needle and filament
configurations for different applications and dot sizes.
Pneumatic Inking systems incorporate the convenience of DieMark disposable
ink cartridges with the reliability of a microprocessor-controlled pneumatic dispensing
system for the ultimate inking solution. Ink dots are deposited via
pneumatic actuation of the inker shuttle mechanism and a simultaneous pulse of
air into the cartridge reservoir. There is no filament and no direct contact with
the wafer surface.
